From a Bamboo Forest in Sichuan to Your Home: The Journey of a Tissue

From a Bamboo Forest in Sichuan to Your Home: The Journey of a Tissue

Behind every tissue lies a story of land, sunlight, and craftsmanship

Have you ever wondered where the tissue in your hand actually begins?

It doesn’t start on a factory production line. Its story begins in a swaying bamboo forest.

Stop One: The Bamboo Forests of Sichuan

Sichuan, China—a region blessed with mild climate and abundant rainfall—is bamboo‘s natural home.

In the early morning, mist drifts through the hills, and dewdrops cling to the tips of bamboo leaves. The bamboo here needs no artificial irrigation—rainwater does the job. It needs no chemical fertilizers—the soil is naturally rich. In its natural state, it grows quietly, rising a foot a day and maturing into a forest in just three years.

Our bamboo base sits right in the heart of this green landscape. Every bamboo stalk we select is 3 to 4 years old—neither too young nor too old, with fibers that have reached the perfect length and strength for papermaking.

Stop Two: From Bamboo Stalk to Bamboo Pulp

Harvested bamboo is transported to the pulping mill. There, it undergoes mechanical chipping, steam softening, and high-pressure grinding to break it down into fine bamboo fibers.

Our process uses no harsh chemical bleaches. Instead, we rely on physical methods and mild oxygen delignification technology, preserving the natural color and subtle bamboo fragrance. The pulp appears a soft, natural beige—no optical brighteners, no bleach residue, just the original shade of nature.

Water consumption per ton of bamboo pulp is roughly half that of wood pulp, and the wastewater generated during production is rigorously treated and recycled—never discharged into rivers.

Stop Three: From Pulp to Tissue

The bamboo pulp is screened, washed, purified, and fed into the paper machine. On the high-speed rotating mesh, bamboo fibers interweave evenly, water is squeezed out, and the sheet is dried at high temperatures and calendered to form wide rolls of base paper.

At this stage, we add only food-grade safe additives, ensuring the finished tissues are safe for direct contact with skin and food. Facial tissues are cut into neat squares, toilet rolls are wound into soft rolls, and wet wipes are infused with a bamboo-fiber-specific gentle moisturizing formula—no alcohol, no artificial fragrances, and no optical brighteners.

Stop Four: Packaging and Departure

Each pack is wrapped into finished products and loaded into eco-friendly, recyclable cartons.

From our warehouse in Chengdu, these cartons travel by road to the port, then board ocean-going vessels crossing the Pacific or Indian Oceans to reach shores around the world. Shipping remains one of the lowest-carbon cross-border transport options, and we choose low-carbon routes wherever possible to lighten the journey‘s own footprint.

Stop Five: Your Home

At last, the tissue arrives in your living room, your kitchen, your bathroom, or your bag.

When you pull one out to wipe a counter, clean your hands, or care for your family, you’re not just touching soft bamboo fibers—you‘re touching the rain, the sunlight, and the gentle breezes of Sichuan’s mountains. You‘re touching the persistence of pulp makers at every step and the care of packaging workers sealing each pack.

A single tissue carries not just function, but the goodwill of many people—and the future of a forest.

The End of the Journey Is the Beginning of Another

After a tissue is used, it doesn’t vanish. Bamboo fiber tissues are biodegradable—under composting conditions, they return to the soil in just months, becoming nutrients that nourish new life.

One journey ends. Another begins.

This is the story of a tissue—from the bamboo forests of Sichuan, across mountains and oceans, to your hands. And we hope the next chapter of this story will be written by you: with one choice that protects a bamboo forest and passes on a kindness.
