This is very clear—producing traditional toilet paper means cutting down a large number of trees, which not only harms wildlife but also destroys ecosystems. At the same time, the chemicals used in the manufacturing process contaminate water sources and endanger human health. Moreover, processing trees into toilet paper requires a large amount of water and energy, further weakening the environment.

Giant Pandas: Bamboo’s Biggest Fan

Bamboo makes up 99% of a giant panda’s diet. An adult panda eats 12–38 kg a day, spending up to 16 hours feeding. When bamboo forests disappear, pandas don’t just move on—they go hungry and face dangerous migrations.

But there’s hope. The China Conservation and Research Center teamed up with a paper company to turn panda leftovers and feces into bamboo pulp paper—proving that bamboo can be recycled, and that humans and pandas can share the same forests.
